The Mission of the Holding Fast Blog

In our modern-day culture, the faith of teenage and young-adult Christians is constantly under attack. Studies show that about 70% of college kids that professed to be Christian upon entering college leave the church during their time in college. Without knowing the evidence behind their faith, these young believers are turned aside by the intense onslaught of anti-Biblical behavior and ideals.

That is why I created this blog, to strengthen the faith of believers with evidence for the faith and show them how to Biblically handle modern-day situations. Join me in seeking the truth, and together let's hold fast to the faith.

About Me

Hello internet! My name is Nathan Lacefield, and I am an 18-year-old homeschool student (homeschool is actually very organized, ignore the stereotypes). I've grown up in a family in which my parents prioritized a Biblical education, and I have been blessed to learn a lot about Scripture from a very young age from Bible curriculum.

My goal in this blog is to help other believers (especially teenagers and young adults) to defend their faith and hold fast to the Gospel in a culture that celebrates sin. Though I am young, I still believe that I can help others become stronger in the faith, just as the young pastor Timothy did. "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12
